8:00 am
Event Location:
Waco Training Academy, 181 Barbara Road, Elandsfontein, Gauteng, 1600, South Africa
Event Description
The Permit to Work course at Waco Training Academy is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Permit to Work (PTW) system and its critical role in managing high-risk activities safely and effectively.
This training equips delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to implement, manage, and comply with PTW procedures that help prevent incidents and ensure control over hazardous work tasks.
Throughout the course, learners will explore the purpose and importance of permits to work, the types of permits used in industry, roles and responsibilities of permit issuers and receivers, and the step-by-step process for issuing, reviewing, and closing permits.
Practical examples and guidance on hazard identification, risk assessment, and permit authorisation support a strong foundation in safe work planning and execution.
This programme is ideal for supervisors, safety representatives, planners, and anyone involved in organising or overseeing work that requires formal control measures.
Upon successful completion, participants will be better prepared to apply Permit to Work systems effectively, support compliance with organisational and legislative standards, and contribute to safer work operations.
