Basic Falsework Design

Target Audience :
Civil/structural engineering persons registered/not registered with ECSA, technical consultants, technical site managers, civil/structural design draughts persons, falsework inspectors

Need for Training :
Persons who require a better understanding of temporary works equipment, safe use of the equipment, legislation, and the need to compile basic formwork and support work design calculations.

Prerequisites :
• Learners should be in possession of a technical qualification (civil or mechanical engineering) and must have knowledge of basic engineering principles such as Bending Moments, Beam Deflection, Shear, Section Modulus, Young’s Modulus, etc. and must be able to apply basic design principles when compiling calculations. 

The Learners should preferably have at least 3 months on site experience including a basic knowledge of:

  • The Kwik-Stage system
  • The Econo-Form system

Course Duration : 3 Days

Basic Scaffolding Design

Target Audience :

Need for Training :
Persons who require a better understanding of scaffolding equipment, safe use of the equipment, legislation, and the need to compile basic scaffold design calculations.

Prerequisites :
• Learners should be in possession of a technical qualification (civil or mechanical engineering) and must have knowledge of basic engineering principles and must be able to apply basic design principles when compiling calculations.

The Learners should preferably have at least 3 months on site experience including a basic knowledge of the Kwik-Stage system.
